Our Philosophy banner
Malone, Ault & Farell's (“MAF”) philosophy is simple:  Above all, we are dedicated to providing excellent service to our clients.  Our purpose is to provide high-quality legal services to our clients at a cost which is both reasonable and understood. MAF combines a large firm’s knowledge, resources and techniques with the personal concern and cost-conscious attitudes of a smaller firm.  Experience in our practice areas, rapid response to our client needs and requests, proper case management and a realistic, reasonable and manageable legal fee structure allow us to provide our clients with first-rate, pragmatic and effective legal representation.

                                                                   Specialization

Successful legal representation requires knowledge, expertise and experience in our practice areas. MAF practices in a variety of areas which are regularly encountered by our clientele, and you can learn more about our services in these particular areas on the Practice Areas  page.

                                                                 Responsiveness

We believe communication between the attorney and the client is the cornerstone of a good attorney/client relationship.  Our attorneys are committed to providing prompt and effective responses to our clients’ needs and questions.  We strive to always keep our clients informed of all significant developments that occur in each matter entrusted to us.

                                                              Case Management

To maximize the desired level of communication between attorney and client and to ensure proper and effective handling of a file, each new matter is assigned to a lawyer who has the overall responsibility for that case.  The responsible lawyer and, when warranted and appropriate, any other lawyer who is assigned to the file, are charged with knowing the status of the case, keeping the client updated on the status, notifying the client of all significant developments and ensuring the matter is handled appropriately and in a cost-effective manner.

                                                              Legal Fee Structure

We believe that all our clients should know, in advance, the method of billing and the anticipated cost of representation.  This policy enables our clients to accurately assess the appropriate use of their resources and the effectiveness of our legal representation.  We also provide our clients with prompt and detailed billing for continuous evaluation of the cost/benefit relationship involved in a particular matter. We are fully aware of our clients’ concerns regarding protracted litigation, which can prove quite costly and in many cases distracting the client from other matters.  When appropriate, we will explore ways to conclude litigation early to control or possibly eliminate the costs of discovery and trial, including various forms of alternative dispute resolution.  We share with our clients a desire to control litigation costs while providing the highest quality of legal services possible.  You can learn more about our policy on fees on the MAF Professional Fee Policy page
